About Velvetex

Founded in 1946, Velvetex is the oldest established screen printing company in South Carolina. By 1964, we outgrew our facility and moved to our current facility located at 1144 Shop Road in Columbia. The company founder, Mort Hymson, served as president until his death in 1987. Under his guidance, Velvetex developed a strong reputation for quality and service that we continue to maintain today.

Without a doubt, our years of experience in the printing industry enable us to be able to effectively assist you with all your screen printing and digital printing needs. We have artists on staff who can take your idea and create the graphics that make it stand out from the crowd.

Our comprehensive production capabilities allow us to produce your printed materials by means of several different printing methods. Although we got our start in screen printing, we have evolved to be able to provide much more. We offer UV and Eco-sol digital printing for those jobs that require a different approach.
